NEWYDDION MIS MEDI - MIS HANES GLYNDWR 2011 Commemorating 'Dydd Glyndwr' 16 Medi and 'Battle of Vyrnwy' 24 Medi 1400 - The War of National Liberation Begins - FORGET NOT THE HEROIC SACRIFICE TO RESTORE WELSH INDEPENDENCE!.

It's that time of year again...

MIS MEDI - MIS HANES GLYNDŴR - MIS HANES CYMRU 2011.

30 Aug 2006 – Mis Medi - Mis Glyndŵr - Mis Hanes Cymru. .... After all, surely, Welsh History Month could make a most valuable contribution towards ...

The good news just in, is that there will be a 'Gŵyl Dydd Glyndŵr' event in Corwen on Dydd Glyndŵr Friday 16 Sept 2011 but seeing as this should be the 'national' Dydd Glyndŵr event on this date in the annual calendar of 'Glyndŵr' events - an opportunity for one and all to come from all parts of Cymru - and beyond, to visit the Corwen area and participate in the Gŵyl, I'm not sure how much 'national' promotion the event has recieved - other than on 'facebook'. Now, many people ,like myself, are wary of 'facebook' and similar sites and avoid them as much as possible so, I would question that an over dependence on facebook as a means of promoting an all important 'national' event such as 'Gŵyl Dydd Glyndŵr Corwen' is a sound strategy if the aim is to get people of all ages from Cymru and Beyond to visit the area and the Gŵyl.

However, the programme does state that the event is... a "community event to celebrate Owain Glyndwr Day" Well, if that is the 'sole' aim then I have to state that what could be a wonderful 'national' celebration and commemmoration is being 'dummed down' and that the Corwen community is losing out 'big time'  when it could really reap in the economic benefits.

The town now has a wonderful Owain Glyndŵr on horseback statue well worth showing off, there are many locations around Corwen associated with our gratest warrior Prince that are well worth visiting - and which would take, at the least, a few days to get around them all. This would entail staying at hotels and  B&B's in the area and would entail shopping in local shops and eating in local restaurants - which means, that there is enough scope for, at the least, a weekend long Gŵyl Dydd Glyndŵr in Corwen with a full programme which include activities, entertainment and a full itinary of all sites associated with Owain Glyndŵr and the War of Independence.

Let's hope the above is given some serious consideration for next year and in the meantime, see below the Corwen 'Gŵyl Dydd Glyndŵr' programme for this year:

But, of course, not everyone from other parts of Cymru can make it to join in the Corwen Dydd Glyndŵr festivities and its just as important for those that cannot attend, due to distance from other parts of Cymru, to organise a Dydd Glyndŵr event in their own community on or about Medi 16 as an opportunity for their community to celebrate what was achieved by our greatest of national heroes and his Cymric supporters. Let's cover our land in Owain Glyndŵr flags during this MIS MEDI - MIS HANES GLYNDŴR - MIS HANES CYMRU. It gets better every year as more and more Cymry are realising that flying this flag is a statement that we are 'Juratus Oweyn...faithful to Owain and that we will continue his struggle to ensure that his nation - our nation, is not sold off at any price to modern day global robber barons and English princes.

Let's see how many castles and other historic buildings will be flying the Glyndŵr flag on Dydd Glyndŵr this year. Get in touch with CADW now and make sure that they do honour Tywysog Owain by flying his flag, on his day, on all the castles and other civic buildings under their jurisdiction. Let's see if they can manage a substantial increase on recent years? we'll see?

People in Caerdydd can also ensure that the Welsh Assembly flies the gigantic embroidered Owain Glyndŵr flag that was presented to them by Llysgenhadaeth Glyndŵr and Welsh Castle Crafts on Dydd Glyndŵr 2001. Send us news and/or pics of Glyndŵr flag sightings on Owain Glyndŵr Day wherever they may be sighted in Cymru. The first pub to fly the flag in Abertawe (as far as we know) is the Adam and Eve, a really good music pub located on the High Street.

The Adam and Eve has an ideal function room for an Abertawe 'Dydd Glyndŵr social evening' and it leads onto a good sized beer garden. The last time I enquired, this function room can be had for free!

Also, I was told that at least three pubs in Neath fly the flag. Strangely enough, havent sighted one in Clwb Tŷ Tawe yet or on sale in Siop Tŷ Tawe?

I will post an up to date picture gallery of all the places that we know of that fly the Glyndŵr flag following the weekend of 16 Sept so, get snapping and send us your pics.

Windmills of Mass Destruction. For those that have'nt read my article on this issue (in my  'Tarian Glyndŵr' and my  'Owain Glyndŵr Communicates blogs) please read them as I have tried to inform as to why the 'carpet windmilling' of Wales is a 'big scam' that is set to destroy our nation whilst making the globalist capitalists richer and the poorest in Cymru poorer.

Also, see the film on this U-tube link that was sent to me which is also another really good reason why we must not have these 'windmills of mass destruction' in the forestries of Cymru.

Welsh speakers can also read my letter below which appeared in last week's Cymro and there are more letters in Cymraeg and English on Tarian Glyndŵr and Owain Glyndŵr Communicates.

Above: Letter in Y Cymro 2 Medi 2011.

I cannot stress enough that this issue is 'very real' and its all going on now right under our noses with the full cooperation of greedy Welsh collaborators. If you really love Cymru you must give your support to the campaign to STOP THIS WINDMILLING OF CYMRU NOW! or, be prepared for the consequences if you dont! which will be total despoilation and devastation of our countryside and desecration of our heritage in the landscape. We at Llysgenhadaeth Glyndŵr are taking a special Interest in the defence of Mynyddoedd Pumlumon - 'Our Sacred Hills', do join us in this campaign and in support of the action already taken by the Cambrian Mountain Society against plans for the SSE/Statkraft Nant y Moch Windmill Plantation and 'Turbine Highway' into the 'Cradle of Cymru' - Mynyddoed Pumlumon - 'Our Sacred  Hills'. The struggle against the Windmill Masters - Robber Barons is one being fought in communities all over the land. Pobl Glyndŵr should support these campaigns as well as our Llysgenhadaeth Glyndŵr national campaign to defend 'our 'Sacred Hills'. We have made a start - join us, with 'Glyndŵr Ramblers' to the fore in this campaign that will become a national struggle at  FORTRESS GLYNDŴR JUNE 2012, further details will be released in due course in the blog below:

Plaid Cymru members could start the defence of Cymru from these monstrosities immediately by placing emergency motions before conference this coming weekend. See link below for details in regards to Plaid Cymru Conference.

Annual Conference 2011 - Plaid Cymru

I'm going to thsi years #plaidconf! Are you? Find out more info about plaid ...

I therefore appeal to Plaid members attending the conference to put forward motions condemning:

1: The Windmilling of Wales By the 'Robber Barons' of Global Corporate Capitalism.
2:  To end any and all Plaid Cymru and 'Cultural Corruption' Connections with this Cheque Book Conquest and Neo Colonialism.

3: Plaid Cymru condemns 'Statkraft Norway' oppression of the Mapuche of Chile/patagonia and involvement with the Forestry Commission in building of a 'Turbine Highway' into 'Our Sacred Hills' - Mynyddoedd Pumlumon.

4: Plaid Cymru calls upon it's members to support Anti - Wind Farm Campaigns in communities throughout Wales and Nationally in campaign to holt the Nant y Moch Windmill Plantation as an urgent priority.

5: Plaid Cymru commits to the Liberation of the Vyrnwy Estate and holds rally there on 24 Mis Medi 2011. This is Capel Celyn/Tryweryn all over again, what's holding Plaid Cymru and Welsh Nationalists back?

We suspect that Eryl Vaughan of Windpower Wales and Llywelyn Rhys of RenewableUK - Cymru will have booked stands at the aforementioned Plaid Cymru Conference in Llandudno as from 9 Medi 2011. If these Windmill Masters are having stands there - and we suspect strongly that they are, it would cerainly be worthwhile for an anti - Windmills group or, for a number of Windmill groups  to stage a 'picket and lobbying protest at the conference  and we would urge anti Windmill groups to give this top priority consideration. We stress this is an opportunity too good too be missed.

We will not be able to make the Plaid Conference as we will have need to travel up North a bit later (between 16 - 24 Mis Medi - Mis Glyndŵr) to carry out a little 'Anti - Windmill Master' campaigning in 'Y Perfeddwlad' aka Denbighshire in connection with some commemorative activity at Vyrnwy:

I have provided in our 'Owain Glyndwr Communicates' blog a new post as a directory of OGC links to previous posts giving information and reports on previous national and local 'Dydd Glyndŵr' commemorations and celebrations. Such offers not only an informative look back to all that Llysgenhadaeth Glyndŵr, and its mother movement Cofiwn, has achieved over the years but also provides ideas as to how to hold a successful ' Gŵyl Dydd Glyndŵr' in your community as well as encouraging Pobl Glyndŵr to attend the National events in Corwen and Machynlleth.
